Interests & Activities
Barbara’s volunteer activities include: President of the Douglas County Estate Planning Council; Former President of and nine years of service to the Kansas Banker’s Association Trust Division Board; Former President & current Board Member of Kansas Advocates for Better Care; Member of Lawrence Area Partners in Aging; and former member of LMH Health Foundation’s Planned Giving & Audit committees. Barbara has spoken regularly on various financial topics in Lawrence and across Kansas. She also writes a quarterly column for Better Senior Living, the newsletter of the Senior Resource Center for Douglas County.
Barbara spends her off-duty hours with her artist husband enjoying the arts and relaxing at their country home.
