Job Description

Central Trust Company is seeking to hire a Trust Tax Officer. We are looking for someone positive, team–oriented, and who is a relationship builder. As a Trust Tax Officer, you will administer trusts, estates, individual retirement accounts, and investment management accounts. You will build and foster long-term relationships with clients, referrals, employees, community partners, and other professionals while providing exceptional customer service.

In this role, you may work with external professionals such as CPAs, attorneys, life insurance advisors, and others to implement wealth management strategies to satisfy clients’ concerns when dealing with complex dynamics, unusual assets and estate and income tax planning. You will be responsible for the management of trust accounts in accordance with trust documents, legal requirements, and compliance guidelines. While the position is not exclusively tax management, as Tax Officer a special emphasis is on fiduciary and personal income taxation knowledge to work closely with other Trust Officers.

Requirements

  • We are looking for candidates that have at least 5 years of Financial/Wealth management experience, and a bachelor’s degree in a business-related field. An advanced degree or certification such as CPA, CFP, JD, CTFA, or comparable designation is preferred. In this role, you will have the opportunity to work both independently and with a team. You will need to be an effective communicator with a compassionate, empathetic delivery style.
