Teresa has more than 30 years of experience in estate planning, estate and trust administration, tax preparation, and tax controversy matters. She has practiced law and public accounting and has also worked for the Internal Revenue Service. During her career, she worked for H&R Block’s Tax Institute as a subject matter expert in the areas of estate, gift and trust taxation, as well as tax procedure and IRS representation.

Teresa is a member of the Missouri Society of CPAs Taxation Committee; the Missouri Bar Probate and Trust Committee; the Missouri Bar Elder Law Committee; the American Bar Association Tax Section; the American Bar Association Real Property, Trusts and Estates Section; the National Academy of Elder Law Attorneys (NAELA); and the Missouri Chapter of the National Academy of Elder Law Attorneys (MONAELA). She is a past member of the Internal Revenue Service’s Advisory Council (IRSAC). She is a member of the Audrain County Historical Society; the Columbia Women’s Network; and the Mexico Area Chamber of Commerce. Teresa has served in various capacities on the board of directors of a number of local non-profit organizations, including Altrusa Foundation of Mexico, Missouri; Columbia Second Chance; the Mexico Area Chamber of Commerce; Children’s Therapy and Early Education School; the Audrain Humane Society; Mexico Kiwanis Club; and the Northeast Community Service Agency.
Teresa and her husband enjoy traveling, hiking and gardening, as well as spending time with their four grandchildren and three dogs.
